Anthropologist + Creative Director

headshot.jpeg

Hello! I’m a Professor of Anthropology at Seattle Central College and a CLIP Teaching Fellow at Comparative History of Ideas at the University of Washington.

I also make things, give talks, write, and consult. I’m always happy to connect with new friends and collaborators!

I’m currently based in Seattle, WA.

Research

I track the emergence of the subject as a content creator: how algorithmic, cinematographic, and political technologies reorganize one’s senses under visual capitalism.

I do this by working with creators of color navigating the vicissitudes of work in the venture-funded landscape of U.S. new media startups, studios, and agencies.
